fring for iPad offers free video chat with group calling

fring, a multi-platform free video chat service, is now available on the iPad. This comes not long after it became known that Skype is going to release an iPad optimized app, which means that we will soon have a greatly improved selection of video chat clients on our iPads. fring also supports group chats with up to 4 people, which is great for video conferencing. There’s no WiFi-only restriction either, so you can sit in the middle of a forest and video chat with multiple friends. The app is a free download from the App Store.
