HTC One X pre-orders and benchmarks are both quite strong

One-x-benchmarks

According to HTC executive Jack Tung, pre-orders for the HTC One X are quite strong, meeting or perhaps even exceeding initial estimates. In fact, the phone is off to such a great start that Tung recently said it will be one of HTC's chief revenue generators, hopefully reversing HTC's recent trend of falling revenue.

And in case that's not enough good news for a device that hasn't even been released yet, benchmarks were also recently leaked that showed the AT&T One X's 1.5GHz dual-core Krait processor outperforming the quad-core Tegra 3. This high performance was seen using both Vellamo and Quadrant benchmarks, outperforming the ASUS Transformer Prime and more than doubling the score of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

I personally don't put too much stock in benchmarks – I'm more into real world performance out in the field. But I also understand that these are important to a lot of people, and the numbers certainly impress. Indeed, the One X news seems to just get better and better.
