Sprint is now shipping HTC EVO 4G LTE preorders [Updated]

Those of you who preordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE should be elated to know that Sprint is finally shipping the device, with an expected delivery date of Friday, May 25; several G&E readers have forwarded us the shipping confirmation emails that they received from Sprint.

Interestingly enough, the emails we've seen claim that the orders are being shipped overnight, yet UPS lists Friday as the expected delivery date. In any case, it's better one day late (or one week late, depending on how you look at it) than never, right?

There's still no official word from other retailers like Wirefly or Best Buy on when shipments will start going out, but I'd imagine we'll hear more soon. Be sure to let us know in the comments when you've gotten your shipping confirmation email from Sprint or from another retailer. And in the meantime, be on the lookout for an in-depth full review of the EVO 4G LTE coming soon (finally!), as well as a major site announcement in the next few days.

Update: Many G&E readers are reporting that the expected delivery has indeed been changed to May 24. Inside Sprint Now is also reporting that Best Buy has started charging credit cards and shipping orders, although we have yet to independently verify that. We're also hearing reports that other third-party retailers should be getting inventory tonight, and that preorders made at physical Sprint locations could arrive tomorrow morning.

Thanks, Justin and Ryan!
