HTC EVO 4G LTE is finally released: Happy EVO Day!

happy evo day - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

Today is the official release date of the HTC EVO 4G LTE, the latest superphone in the EVO lineup at Sprint. This means that if  you haven’t preordered your phone yet, you should be able to go to most Sprint and Best Buy stores and pick yours up today – assuming that inventories last, of course.

Those who preordered through many third-party retailers should also receive their devices very soon, or be able to pick them up in stores, as well.

Sprint is making sure that people who signed up to receive EVO 4G LTE notifications are aware of today’s release, as well: Last night, I received the following text message:

SprintFreeMsg: The HTC EVO 4G LTE will be in participating Sprint stores tomorrow! For details on this device, visit http://sprint.us/evo4g Reply END to stop.

I also received the email that appears below shortly after midnight:

If you venture out to a Sprint or Best Buy store today, be sure to let us know your experiences! And happy EVO day, everyone!
