Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger- review
I probably cannot make the charger review exciting, I can try to make it extremely helpful. Chargers, in general, aren’t the most enthralling pieces of tech, but a good reliable charger stands behind every great gadget. They can’t be ignored, and with that in mind, I’m looking at Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger one of many products sold on www.oittm.com.
Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger – review
Let’s cut to the chase before I share few more thought about the Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger. This device comes with 3 ports:
- USB-C 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A, 14.5V/2A
- 2x USB-A 5V/2.4A each
That’s plenty for any device or a power bank. In my tests, I was running a Tasker profile to test the charge times on my Google Pixel device. To assure the consistency of the tests I have charged the phone in the airplane mode. The results are stacked against the USB-C charger that came with the phone. Although the Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger supports Quick Charge, my Pixel does not. I was unable to verify this claim.
Charging times
I have used following 4 scenarios:
- Pixel connected via USB-C with original charger (benchmark) 1h:52min
- Pixel connected via USB-C with Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger 1h:49min
- Pixel connected via USB-C with Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger while both USB-A ports are in use 1h:55min
- Pixel connected via USB-A with Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger 1h:48min
As you can see the charging times are consistent regardless of other devices assigned therefore specs for this charger hold up. Great, as available output is often split between USB interfaces lowering the charge speed. The charge time differences fall within the margin of error.
Oittm Travel Charger – critique
I’m very pleased with the power delivery of the Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger charger. There is one minor thing that bothers me. From the pictures, you are probably aware of the form factor, which personally, I don’t consider it to be the ‘travel’ type. The charger’s shape is great for any pocket if the UK plug isn’t considered, however, I don’t think this charger will be getting any passport stamps anytime soon. A charger with fixed plug and foldable prongs would fit that description much better. I should note that since the cable connector looks universal, you can always get spare cables to fit your specification.

Conclusion
I’m pleased with the build quality and the sockets specs provided on the Oittm USB-C/2x USB-A Charger. If you like the form factor I can recommend the device to you. At $15.99 on Amazon.com you can’t go wrong with it. Charger stays at a reasonable temperature even when charging 3 different devices and delivers the advertised power. If you need multiple sockets in a fairly compact design, go for it.
