Comcast offers $65b to keep X-Men out of the MCU

comcast - for some reason we don't have an alt tag hereIn other ISP news, Comcast has offered $65 billion cash to keep 21st Century Fox’s film and TV studios. This ups the previous Disney offer of $52.4 billion all-stock offer.

If the deal goes through you can kiss seeing the X-Men, Deadpool, and the Avengers throwing down in a merry Marvel mutant crossover.

The bid comes immediately after the AT&T/Time Warner merger suit was finished as Comcast now sees no threat to the deal.

Should be noted that neither Disney nor Comcast will probably get the Fantastic Four, so you can expect another terrible movie sometime around 2024 just so they can keep the rights in perpetuity.

I don’t know if Fox can choose a deal here, but it seems like the 19% lower stock offering may be a better future than the cash and now being associated with America’s most hated company.
