Infographic: charging standards and rates

You may have seen this infographic floating around produced by Hometop, but here it is on Pocketables now with some nitpicking before the infographic.

As this took me forever to decode, ignore the mAhs listed under the headers Capacity, Charging Time, and Charging Rate. These are the capacities of the phone batteries they’re testing against, not the charging capabilities of the spec. They’ll come into use later.

A result with mAh charged per minute also does not represent what that charger spec is capable of pushing, just what that particular phone they’re testing is capable of receiving. There’s also the omission of Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ spec so as such this should probably be considered a comparison of current top of the line smartphones and their abilities to charge a battery quickly.

Also one final thing – it should be noted that just because you can charge a phone in ten seconds doesn’t mean the battery is going to last as long as one charged over the course of an hour.
