Default Streak 7 Recovery Mode

Dear All,

I have tried to press power button and both volume +/- when booting, but it did not work.

I tried to press power button during Dell Logo screen, it did not work.

Could anyone possibly help me on getting into recovery/backup mode of streak 7?

Thanks a lot!

did you continue holding the volume buttons for several seconds? not sure if the 7's are different, but on the 5's you have to hold it a few seconds.

folks, thanks for your reply.

Looks like it did not work for me even i press both volume up/down and power for long while.

But one instance when I did that, the screen went completely dark and benzel buttons are lit, and waited 10 mins, nothing happened. I have to stick a pin into the sdcard slot to have a hard reset...

Do I need to connect to USB to enter into recovery mode??

may try different combos?? What happens when you power on holding the camera button? On the 5 it puts you in fastboot mode (which allows you to flash images). Since you have a reset button... makes me wonder if that is whats needed to get into recovery. The streak5 doesn't have a reset button like that. Other than trying different combo's i don't know...

FWIW, on my old tilt, while the phone was on, holding both power button and factory reset pin put it into 'recovery' (if i remember correctly). I just dont' want to tell you something thats going to screw things up though

I have a similar issue, I get stuck on the dell logo and it just shuts off.

Hold Vol - and power (should go to fastboot), mine does
Hold Vol + and power (should go to recovery) doesn't work for me

I can get fastboot on but as it's not rooted I can't get anythign to upload into the device. I don't think I can root it if nothing works except fastboot so I think I prety much have a brick...
