UK gals can downsize their purses

GIRLY POST ALERT
The Samsung S400i is one of those I-wish-I-lived-in-the-UK slider phones enabled with i-mode, a mobile Internet service that seems to be all the rage nearly everywhere but in the United States. It isn’t particularly unique on its own, but it grabbed my attention when it teamed up with Bourjois Paris Cosmetics (Chanel’s low-end makeup line).

The plum purple version of the S400i, exclusive to UK retailers, ships with miniaturized tubes of Bourjois’ ultra shiny Effet 3D lip glossir?t=pocketables 20&l=ur2&o=1 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here swinging from it. And although the tube isn’t much smaller than the phone, which is ridiculous, I like the idea of a cell phone charm that has real value (assuming you wear and carry around lip gloss, of course). Most charms are purely decorative and, if they’re equipped with little bells, annoying, so this is a nice change. Plus, even though I’m un-girlish in my obsession with electronics, I’m stereotypically girly in my love of lip gloss. I often leave my wallet at home, but I never step outside without at least two tubes of lip gloss in my purse.

The folks at Gadget Candy are reporting that the feminized S400i is available only at Woolworths, but you may be able to get it elsewhere. Shiny Shiny, in fact, cites O2 as the exclusive seller, though I couldn’t find it anywhere on the site. In any case, if you don’t live in the UK and/or aren’t in the market for a new cell phone, the Bourjois lip gloss charms can be purchased separately ($9 each) at Sephora.
