Nokia unveils 330 Auto Navigation

Nokia330

Well, the Nokia 330 first spotted last week was made official today. And despite its appealing GUI, 3.5-inch touchscreen, and rumored DivX support, it turns out that the 330 Auto Navigation isn’t exactly the little brother of the company’s Linux-based 770 Internet Tablet most people expected (though this most certainly is). Scheduled for release in Europe by year’s end, the GPS device will retail for €360 (about $460) and come with ROUTE 66 Navigate 7 and European NAVTEQ map data preinstalled. Since a 2GB memory card (of some kind) will also be included, it’s safe to assume that the 330 has no internal memory. A PMP it is not.

Oh well. Looks like my letter to Santa needs some revision.
