T-Mobile Dash available now

Tmodash

I love it when a company delivers on its promises. Two weeks ago, T-Mobile announced that their rebranded HTC Excalibur phone would be available on the 25th, and guess what appeared on the company’s website today! Details and leaked photos of the not-so-attractive but very slim T-Mobile Dash have been around for about a month, but now that you can officially pick up the phone from T-Mobile for $199.99 (after all the paperwork and discounts), here’s a brief rundown of the newest device to take on the Motorola Q and Treo 700w.

The Dash runs on Windows Mobile 5.0, has 128MB flash and 64MB SDRAM under its hood, and features a 2.4-inch TFT display, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE and Wi-Fi, microSD expansion slot, and 1.3-megapixel camera. It measures 4.4" x 2.5" x 0.5" and weighs in at 4.2 ounces, making it slightly heavier than the Q and significantly lighter than the 700w.

Most of the reviews on the Dash have been more than favorable, so if you’ve been considering a new smartphone (Lyn and Chris), this may be the one for you.
