Treo 680’s official debut

Treo680

Leaked photos and documents of the highly anticipated Treo 680 have been circulating for nearly a month already, but today the antenna-free smartphone was made official at Palm’s DigitalLife press conference in New York. It also landed on the Palm site, where you can read more about its 64MB of RAM, lack of Wi-Fi support, new user interface, enhanced multimedia capabilities, Google Maps and mobile version of TypePad, and of course the new colors (graphite, copper, arctic, and crimson). Prices aren’t up yet, but Palm CEO Ed Colligan did mention a lower price point more than a few times.

An unlocked GSM version will be available soon and for a limited time will include a 30-day free trial of Yahoo! Music Unlimited.
