Bamboo portable DVD player

AmadanadvdplayerHow much would you pay for a portable DVD player sporting a 10-inch TFT widescreen display, SD memory card slot, 2 headphone jacks, up to 3 hours of battery life, 6 input/output ports, touch-panel controls, oh, and natural laminated bamboo?

If you guessed $1200, then you’re certifiably crazy and correct. Meet the VP-110 portable DVD player by Japanese company Amadana, yet another addition to the ridiculously overpriced gadgets category. If Santa knows you’ve been exceptionally good this year and you happen to find the device under the tree, Amadana also offers an embossed leather case in dark brown, beige, yellow, and red for about $160.

Oh well. At least the company has a sense of humor when it comes to safety.

In other words, if you’re an umpire, hunter, or homeless person, this isn’t the player for you.
