OQO 01+ makes retail-store debut

Oqo01rcs Geez. More than a year after its release, the OQO 01+ will finally make an appearance at an actual retail location in New York City. According to RCS Computer Experience’s company info page, "staying up to speed with developments [in technology] is a full time job. That’s why [our] sales representatives spend several hours every week learning what’s new and what’s next." Hmm. Looks like the sales reps have been slacking this year. And I thought my reviews in August were after the fact.

Oh well, maybe OQO is trying to create some buzz about the device because the rumors of a new model in January are true. In any case, RCS is selling the 01+ in several configurations online (starting at $1299 for XP Pro), but there’ll likely only be one or two versions at the brick-and-mortar store.
