Sony announced today that 8 models of its Cyber-shot digital camera line may malfunction in warm and humid areas. If you’ve been experiencing problems with the F88, M1, T1, T3, T11, T33, U40, or U50 that became a part of your family between September 2003 and January 2005, pack it up and send it to Sony for a complimentary repair.
The company estimates that of the over 1 million Cyber-shots sold, only about 4,000 may be exhibiting problems like the LCD not showing images correctly (whatever that means) or the camera not being able to take pictures at all (!).
