UMPC

New UMPC in your house?

If you unwrapped a new UMPC yesterday and/or plan to buy one with all of your Christmas cash, be sure to check out the "getting to know you" article over at UltraMobileGeek. An absolute must-read if you’re a newcomer to the world of UMPCs, it includes essential resources and other information to make sure you get the most out of your new gadget.

I’ve had my Samsung Q1P for a little over a week now (oodles of reviews to come) and am surprised by how different it is from the other handtops I own or have tried. Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, one of the defining characteristics of a UMPC,  is quite lovely. I understand now why fellow UX180P and UX280P owners replace the preinstalled XP Professional with Tablet PC, though I can’t imagine DialKeys on such a small screen.
