Samsung Q1b gets product page, too

The family of U.S.-available Samsung Q1 UMPCs is finally complete. It was just a few days ago that the Q1P joined the Q1 on Samsung’s official site and already it’s the Q1b’s turn.

Local or online availability info doesn’t appear on the page, but the device can be found at eBay and CDW. The latter, in fact, sells it for just $799 ($100 less than the original Q1). Pair that with the Samsung keyboard and organizer bundle ($120 at Fry’s/Outpost, $150 everywhere else), and you’ve got a nicely priced mobile setup.

I’ve had my eye on the Q1 since June (when I was faced with choosing between it and the UX180P – guess who won that one) and now in Round 2 of Handtop Decision 2006 it’s up against the Q1b. On the one hand, the Q1b has a slower processor and mono speaker and doesn’t have the ethernet port or CF slot; on the other hand, it’s less expensive and has nearly twice the battery life and a brighter screen.

I can’t make up my mind. And Santa is getting impatient.
