32GB Sony MS Pro HG in the works

Sony

Apparently not content with its upcoming 8GB Memory Stick PRO Duo card, Sony has teamed up with SanDisk to develop the similarly sized 32GB MS Pro HG.

A consumer version of the card has not yet been given a release date, but when it does hit the market (likely setting new records of outrageous pricing), make sure you’ve got yourself a compatible gadget if you want to achieve those 480 Mbps maximum transfer rates.

Exactly what will constitute a "compatible gadget" is unclear, but Sony is supposedly already going door to door with its new-format pitch and a basket of licenses in tow.
