HTC Omni details surface in Italy

Htc_universalItalian site SoloPalmari received what appears to be the first set of specs for the HTC Omni, rumored successor of the Universal (pictured). Since the Omni first peeked out from behind the curtain in September, Windows Mobile fans have been waiting patiently for its turn in the spotlight.

Just before we all accepted that the Omni had been given stagehand duties, an anonymous tipster got ahold of the handset’s resume. Assuming none of its skills and talents have been played up, the device will feature an enormous 4-inch (800 x 480) display, 400MHz Samsung SC244X processor, QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth 2.0, 802.11b/g, and 128MB RAM. Add all that to the reported compatibility with just about every acronym in the wireless handbook (UMTS, HSDPA, GSM, GPRS, EDGE) and you’ve got yourself a potential star.
