Medion handtop for $700 by year's end?

So says Medion president Kent Kan.

Medion_jkontherun

While he didn’t exactly confirm earlier reports that the MD RIM 1000 (shown here in the hands of jkOnTheRun) would be available at the end of January, he did go on record with DigiTimes with a first-quarter release date. Other Medion folk said that it would initially sell for about $800, possibly dropping to $700 by the end of the year.

If price point is really the Holy Grail for the handtop market (others, including me, are nodding), then perhaps reviews like these will soon need to be amended.
