Philips portable DVD players for iPods

Philips_dcp750Now that those swooning over the iPhone have either gotten themselves together or passed out completely, let’s get back to CES.

Philips presented two new portable DVD players yesterday designed with the iPod owner in mind. The DCP750 ($149) and DCP850 ($199) feature 7- and 8.5-inch swiveling widescreens, respectively, integrated iPod docks, SD/MMC memory card slots, and support for music, photos, and DivX and MPEG-4 videos stored on all variations of recordable CD and DVD media.

The players are equipped with an internal rechargeable battery with a pathetic 2.5-hour runtime and will be bundled with a car adapter and remote control when they begin shipping at some point during the first quarter of this year.
