Samsung Q1 mascot needs a calendar
By now you’re no doubt familiar with Sam, Samsung’s St. Bernard superhero-like mascot who sports a Q1 UMPC around his neck and enlightens folks who lug around full-sized laptops. Well, it seems that even those who help need help of their own sometimes. Poor old Sam. Bogged down with spreading the word of mobility, he’s lost track of time.
Even though the Samsung-sponsored contest to win a $1330 Q1 and accessories package ended over two weeks ago, entries are still being accepted. I just entered fifteen minutes ago.
Sam is clearly just very confused. The official rules indicate the sweepstakes period to have been between November 18th to 24th, with entries accepted daily; everything else points to a December 17th end date and weekly entries. The "winners circle," which should include the names of two lucky winners of the prize package per week, is still blank.
Shouldn’t the Q1 be able to help Samsung avoid this kind of embarrassment and get its act together? I mean, really. How hard is it to circle a date on a calendar and write a "Contest ends, update website" note?
