Samsung SCH-i760: Still exactly the same

Samsung_i760_crossbowUpdate: Samsung SCH-i760 gets official

Two tidbits about the upcoming Samsung Robin (SCH-i760) I thought were already accepted as facts have just been "confirmed" by an anonymous tipster who slipped some info to Engadget Mobile.

First, remember when we found out that the i760 was headed to Verizon nearly two weeks ago? Well, it’s still true. We haven’t seen the actual branding beneath its 2.8-inch screen before today though, so I guess the title of this post is misleading. It’s not exactly the same.

Second, even though Samsung wouldn’t confirm it at CES, remember when this photo made it clear that the i760 would be running Windows Mobile Crossbow? Yep, still true again. I don’t know why there would be any reason to doubt this in the first place, but you can have a look at this little gallery if your cynicism demands hard evidence.

The i760 is expected to hit stores before the summer’s up. Hmm. I just realized that my 10-year anniversary with T-Mobile/Voicestream is coming up soon. Do you know what the modern spin on the traditional 10-year wedding gift is? Diamonds.

I better get out while I can.
