Uh, Cingular . . . remember the Treo 750?

It turns out that Cingular has a wandering eye. Just two days after the Treo 750 was launched (to a significant amount of fanfare, I might add) and proudly displayed on Cingular’s front page for subsequent oohing and aahing, the carrier waltzed in with something younger and prettier.

The honeymoon is over. I don’t recall the 750 getting an exclamation point . . . and it can actually be purchased today. No longer showcased on the main page, the 750 can only be found by those who still believe in the sanctity of marriage between phone and service provider, dedicated to clicking: Main >> Shop >> Phones & Devices >> PDAs/Smartphones >> Enter zip code >> Treo 750 (after some mild scrolling).

Oh, that Cingular is just so smug.
