Samsung releases Q1 Ultra materials

Q1u_manualWhether prematurely or not, Samsung has posted the 228-page manual, quick guide, drivers, and software for its upcoming Q1 Ultra UMPC (apparently now called the Q1U) on the Download Center of its website. The manual seems pretty complete, but the quick guide looks to still be in draft form. That’s the best explanation I can think of for why the Q1U photo still has some of Engadget’s original watermarking on it (!), the word "Features" is misspelled, and some of the images are of last year’s Q1.

An Origami Project forum member speculates that the release of these support materials could mean that a U.S. launch is very, very near (possibly between 2 and 14 days away). I’m not sure that we’ll see it as early as Thursday, but it’s certainly a possibility given that the device could be preordered in Germany several weeks ago and Samsung mentioned a May launch at its CeBIT press conference.
