Write 100 words, win a Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC

Hope_for_edThink you know the most significant benefit that technology can provide in a K-12 school in the United States? If you do and you can sum it up in just 100 words (that’s about half the length of this post), you could win the school of your choice thousands and thousands of dollars worth of Samsung merchandise and Microsoft software ($200,000 for grand prize; $60,000 each for 30 first prizes) and a $1,500 Q1 Ultra bundle for yourself that includes a Vista-based Ultra UMPC (either the Q1U-EL or Q1U-V), optical disk drive, keyboard, and case.

To enter Samsung’s Hope for Education 2007 contest, going on now until July 22, nominate an eligible school in your community and submit your 100-word essay addressing the following points:

A total of 62 prizes will be awarded (31 schools, 31 essay writers) with an estimated retail value of more than $2 million! Exactly what is included in the school prize packages have not been disclosed, but I can’t imagine any school turning down anything shown below.
