HTC Advantage docking station costs $140

Since I’m already waiting for what feels like forever for my HTC Advantage to arrive, I may as well shop for some accessories. Fortunately for time-biding purposes (unfortunately for my wallet), there’s actually quite a bit to choose from.

Already my favorite is this docking station, which features a second-battery charging slot, two USB 2.0 ports, A/V interface (headphone jack and VGA, S-Video, and video-out ports), and miniUSB port for charging and syncing. It’s recently been spotted at MEDC 2007 (via BGR) in Germany and can be ordered now for about $140.

  • Nice! I am a big fan of docking stations, this one will go a long way towards making the Advantage into a laptop replacement for many folks. Drop it into the dock and voila, there is a large monitor and a keyboard. $140 is a lot of money though… oh well, that is a price one pays for gadget addiction.

A consequence, no doubt, of that new Q1 Ultra in your hands :-)

Well, $140 is about what I had paid for a docking station for my laptop which cost considerably more than the Ameo. Compared to the price of the Ameo, the dock seems quite expensive. But it does look nice!

  • is it surely usb 2.0? not 1.1 meaning there is support for larger mass storage devices that need more usb power?
