Nokia E90 Communicator unlocked for $813
When Nokia unveiled its S60-based E90 Communicator at 3GSM in February, one of the company’s executives went on record with a "third quarter of the year" release date and "$975 to $1,040 without a contract" price range.
Well, add that guy (who happens to be the senior VP of sales, marketing, and services) to your list of trusted sources immediately. Because not only has the unlocked 3G clamshell phone with the 800 x 352 inner display landed in the hands of online retailers exactly as scheduled, but it’s also (sometimes significantly) less expensive.
Depending on the retailer, the fully loaded 7.4-ounce device can be purchased for "as little as" $813 to as much as $1,588.
Here’s a list of some of the e-tailers in the U.S. that sell the E90 unlocked:
- Buy.com ($813, temporarily sold out)
- Voxilla ($880, due in July 31)
- Dell ($896, 6+ weeks lead time)
- Popular Electronics ($1,050)
- Import GSM ($1,099)
- eGizmo ($1,200)
- CellHUT ($1,299)
- Amazon Marketplace ($1,465)
- Etronics ($1,470)
- eCRATER ($1,588)
Any takers?
