Apple iPhone now $200 cheaper

Iphone_price_cutAlong with introducing a new iPod lineup and the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, Apple announced an incredibly significant iPhone price cut at today’s The Beat Goes On special event in San Francisco.

Effective immediately, the previously priced $599 8GB iPhone can be snatched from shelves for just $399. Its 4GB brother, which originally sold for $499, will be discontinued (!) as soon as the last one is slurped up for a newly palatable $299.

If you bought an iPhone recently, head over to TUAW for details on how to get that $200 back into your wallet. And if you stood in line on launch day, I look forward to meeting you at the Perils of Early Adoption seminar.
