Asus Eee PC 8G may sport 10-inch display

Although the official tech specs still suggest otherwise, German company spokesperson Holger Schmidt was recently quoted as saying that the Asus Eee PC 8G will pack a 10-inch display into the same housing as the 7-inch screened 4G, 4G Surf, and 2G Surf models.

The 8G, with its 8GB of flash storage, 1GB of RAM and webcam, already sits at the top of the variously configured units, so a bigger screen (still 800 x 480?) wouldn’t disrupt the "rankings."

Whether Schmidt was misinformed or simply misquoted is unknown, but if the "End of November" launch date listed at the product site is accurate, it won’t be long before we find out.
