HTC Advantage replacement already in the works

Htc_x7501_week1

At the end of a report on yesterday’s official launch of the HTC Shift in Taiwan, DigiTimes sneaks in an indirectly related tidbit about the HTC Advantage: it’s being replaced. This year! According to "company sources," the Advantage will be replaced by a "5-inch mobile computing device" sometime in 2008.

Whether the new unit will stick with Windows Mobile, migrate to Linux to keep company with Intel MIDs, or make the jump to Windows Vista is unknown. Hmm. Where do the 16GB microdrive upgrade, modified keyboard, and WM 6.1 fit into all of this?
