Six months after it was first announced, the Sansa View was indefinitely put on hold while SanDisk reconsidered what kind of portable media player would best suit the market. A new View that looked nothing like the original emerged several months later and has since been regarded as a significant upgrade to the Sansa e200 series from 2006.
