Sony mylo 2 on Reverse Auction tomorrow

Reverse_auction

Aha! I knew there was more than just a Bonus Button to entice me into the Sony Rewards program.

I knew about the daily giveaways and other prize opportunities when I signed up, but an email that landed in my inbox this afternoon was the first I’d heard of Sony’s monthly Reverse Auctions. Beginning at noon (ET) tomorrow (that’s 6 a.m. for me in Hawaii) and ending at 10 p.m., Rewards members can log into their accounts, click the auction tab that appears on the third Wednesday of each month, and bid on various Sony electronics that drop in price every hour! The Sony mylo 2 (COM-2), for example, will be listed at its original MSRP when the auction opens but will drop down to $100 by the time it closes (assuming it’s not snapped up before that, of course).

It isn’t known how many of each item will be up for grabs, but the "quantities are limited" notice in the email at least makes it clear that there’ll be more than just one of everything.

I don’t know how many or which additional products will be included in the auction, but here are two more that Sony included in the announcement:

Pretty good stuff so far, especially if fellow Rewards members don’t spoil the fun by snatching everything up within the first few hours. I wonder how many items will even make it to the 50% off point. It should be interesting to see what others consider to be good deals.

If you’re not a member of Sony Rewards yet, you can sign up here. There’s a chance that you may not be able to take part in tomorrow’s Reverse Auction (I signed up with the program last month, before the third Wednesday, and was only told about the auction today), but there’s always next month . . . and every month after that.
