Which gadget is most often on your mind?

Thinker_with_laptopIsn’t this a great time to be a gadget hound? We’ve already got a very nice selection of portable devices to choose from (UMPCs, mobile phones, digital cameras, portable media players, handheld game systems, internet tablets, etc.), and new units boasting improved features are either stumbled upon, leaked, or officially announced just about every day.

But with so much to choose from and an income that needs to pay for items that aren’t electronic (you know, like food and shelter), all these choices can sometimes be a problem. Because if you only have a set amount of "funny money," then which gadget do you choose?

Why, the one you want the most, of course! Since most of you probably keep a long list of shiny-somethings you’d love to call your own, please share with us which one sits at the very top. Well, actually, the one that sits at the top and costs less than $600. (Yes, there’s a reason I’m asking.)
