ZAGG invisibleSHIELD now at Walmart.com
ZAGG Inc. announced yesterday that its patented invisibleSHIELD, a line of protective gadget skins previously available only through small brick-and-mortar resellers and at the company’s online store, can now be purchased at Walmart.com. Wal-Mart, as we all know, is the largest retail chain in the universe, so ZAGG’s president and CEO is certainly justified in his excitement over the new partnership: ""Wal-Mart is an established source for the latest in consumer electronics, and we are ecstatic about this phenomenal opportunity to provide our product to a wide customer base and bring a new level of exposure to the invisibleSHIELD brand."
A quick search at Walmart.com reveals five invisibleSHIELD products (Zune 80, iPhone, iPod touch, iPod nano, and iPod classic) already in stock and selling for less than sticker price. More designs will likely be added to Walmart’s catalog in the future, but it is unclear whether the "virtually indestructible" thin films will ever make it to B&M retail shelves.
