Kohjinsha SC3 is here to stay

Kohji_sc3_keepToday I had plans to pack up and return the Kohjinsha SC3 mini convertible UMPC I had on loan from Conics. Instead, however, I decided to buy it!

Although it’s not without its shortcomings (battery life, 3D graphics and HD video performance, etc.) and it certainly isn’t winning over everyone, the SC3 still impresses me. The fact that I liked it enough to buy it is really significant to me because I actually had no personal interest in the device before receiving it. I wanted to review it for two reasons: 1) it was one of the first Menlow-based UMPCs out of the gate and 2) it was time for me to give Kohjinsha another try (I was very underwhelmed by the SA1, the company’s first UMPC). I had no idea I wouldn’t want to give it back! This is the first time I’ve ever become this attached to a review unit.

I’ve been fielding questions in the forum and in the comments section of the review for about 1.5 weeks now, so I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ll now continue to do so indefinitely.

Wondering what all the fuss is about? Check out my Kohjinsha SC3 review.
