Arbor Gladius G0710 ruggedized Centrino Atom UMPC

Arbor_gladius_g0710Here we have Arbor Technology’s new Gladius G0710 slate, the first ruggedized UMPC to be based on the Centrino Atom (Menlow) platform.

Tucked inside the 8.3" x 6.4" x 1.2" device is one of four Intel Atom Z5xx processors (1.1GHz to 1.86GHz), the SCH US15W chipset (Poulsbo), 1GB of RAM, and the usual wi-fi/Bluetooth radios and 2-megapixel digital camera. Standard resolution of the 7-inch touchscreen is a paltry 800 x 480, but 1024 x 600 and sunlight readability appear to be available as options, as does a curious "expansion slot" for a 10.4-inch LCD panel.

The Gladius G0710 is not intended for the consumer market but looks to be available through this inquiry form. Full specs from the datasheet (PDF) below.
