Haansoft unveils 3D Cube user interface for MIDs

Haansoft_3d_cube

Korean software company Haansoft has developed a new 3D interface designed to "maximize the user experience" of Intel MIDs. Announced at IDF in Taipei this week, the focal point of the tentatively named 3D Cube UI is a freely spinning touch-controlled cube that can hold nine user-selected applications on each of its six sides, allowing quick access to as many as 54 programs.

Haansoft is participating in the development of the latest version of the Asianux Mobile Midinux Edition operating system, so it seems likely that 3D Cube will eventually play a part in it.

Update: See a video of the UI in action (thanks, HotCakes)
