Unboxing the Cowon S9

Cowon_s9_unboxing

The Cowon S9 digital media player wasn’t one of the gadgets I got for Christmas, but since it arrived this week and I did open the box right after I put down the XPERIA X1, I think it’s appropriate to share my unboxing experience today. Anything that prolongs the festitivities is worth doing to me.

I still haven’t had the chance to actually turn on the device yet (yes, it’s been sitting here untouched and sans firmware upgrades for four days!), but I did let it get between the Samsung P2 and first-gen iPod touch during its photo shoot. Check it out below.

I bought the 16GB model in titanium/black, which doesn’t look as nice as the chrome/black device in all the press shots but was the only choice available when I placed my order last week.

Here it is with the Samsung P2 and first-gen touch:

And with the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 (the reason the S9 isn’t getting the attention it deserves from me right now):

The 16GB Cowon S9 is available now for $240 from Amazonir?t=pocketables 20&l=as2&o=1&a=B001NXDC4O - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here.
