Asus Eee PCs are "excellent MIDS"

If there’s one way to attract me to your booth, it’s to put up a big curved display with the alluring words "excellent mobile internet device" printed at the top. But please don’t toy with me.

Lining up the Eee PC S101 series beneath that header is toying with me. It wouldn’t be so cruel if I could find a row of R50A UMPCs somewhere . . .

  • Netbooks are not really “pocketable” but they are nice if you don’t want to carry a full size laptop.

  • I think they’re using the term MID too literally, and not at all in the form that Intel intends it.

Though, I’m personally waiting to see what happens with their new T91(?) convertible tablet / swivel screen netbook. That with Ubuntu-UMPC on it would be rather nice.
