Last week at CES, the old T-swivel prototype from 2007 was spotted in a display case at the Marvell booth. And now today, an even older device, one that was first used in 2006 to promote UMPCs when they were still called Origami, popped up in my routine search for pocketable gadgets.
I don't think it was ever attributed to a particular company or if it even had a name back then, but it's supposedly on sale now for a "surprise price" from a Hong Kong seller on Alibaba, the "world's largest online B2B marketplace." Other than the photo and "surprise price," the only other details said seller can provide about the unit, which can apparently be delivered in 3 to 5 days, are its name ("original UMPC") and build quality ("excellent quality"). Sounds like a sure thing.
