Though the Nokia N97 at CES was still a prototype, the hardware isn’t very impressive. The device is definitely well spec’d with 32GB of built-in memory, 3.5-inch touchscreen, GPS, HSDPA, and 5-megapixel camera, but if you don’t buy into the whole "it’s what’s on the inside that counts" belief, then you’re obviously not a Sony fan (yes, the Vaio P is all I can think about!) and you probably won’t be counting down the days until the N97 is released.
I’m a big fan of the slide-and-tilt design, too, so there’s just something about the N97’s look that doesn’t work for me. Maybe it just looks better on screen and in white/silver.
