Toshiba's pre-show Future Mobile Devices display

Toshiba_mobile_devices

Here are a few more pictures of the "Future Mobile Devices" display at the Toshiba booth. There’s a lot missing (we saw this device about 17 hours before anyone was supposed to), but I think I could gaze at this unnamed unit on an empty stage in an empty auditorium for hours.

Isn’t it beautiful? So much lovelier than last year’s MID/UMPC concept.

It’s sitting in its own podium-style case near the incomplete display you see above, so I don’t think we’ll see it in any of those empty spots tomorrow.

Jenn, is that one of your heels they’re using to hold the screen up in the second picture?

  • I would have gladly lent it to them if I could take the device home with me I’d happily walk lopsided or barefoot for that!

If it should develop into what I believe it could, I would even give my Shift up for it – what do you think, Jenn?

  • Give UP your Shift? I will not tolerate such blasphemy on this site! ;-)If anything, one of these devices would be an excellent COMPLEMENT to the Shift. I think that’s what you meant to say. :-)

  • On the detachable screen Toshiba MID/UMPC – is the screen actually a 7+ inch functional tablet?
