Viliv S5, S7, and X70 at CES 2009
The Viliv S5 and new X70 were subjects of some Xperia X1 mobile blogging the other day, but I’ve got a few more pictures of the Atom-based mobile devices you may be interested in seeing below. You’ll also find some shots of the S7 that many seem to admire.
Viliv S5
Viliv calls the S5 the Entertainment MID because of its PMP-like form factor and 6-hour video playback runtime.

Viliv S7
The S7 is the Productivity MID (I’d call this a UMPC, personally, but I accept that the term is at death’s door) and is similar in style to the Kohjinsha SC3 with a 7-inch WSVGA swiveling touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard. It felt a little cheap and I don’t care for how it looks, but design almost always trumps everything else for me (hence my love of Sony products).

Viliv X70
The X70 is Viliv’s Communication MID, though I’m not really sure why when the S5 and S7 have WiMax, HSDPA, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS (SiRF Star3) too.
