HTC Whitestone and Thoth details emerge

Htc_logo Back in January, a member of the PPCGeeks forum put out a slew of images believed to be HTC's roadmap for 2009. Of most interest to the mobile computing crowd were the Nokia Nseries-esque Whitestone and the proper upgrade to the Advantage X7501 (the X7510 was just a refresh), the Thoth.

Today, WMPoweruser shares what we've all been waiting for since first seeing the images: more details. According to information obtained in February by Sina.com (translated), September will be an important month for both devices.

Htc_whitestone

  • Expected to "debut" in September through Verizon Wireless
  • 3.6-inch screen, 800 x 480
  • 528MHz Qualcomm 7600 CPU
  • 256MB RAM/512MB ROM
  • Windows Mobile 6.1

Htc_thoth

  • Expected to be announced in September
  • 4.8-inch screen, 800 x 480
  • 1GHz Qualcomm 8250 CPU
  • 256MB RAM/512MB ROM
  • Windows Mobile 6.5
  • 5-megapixel camera

The Thoth should also come with the obvious bells and whistles: GPS, HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, at least 16GB of internal flash (like the X7510), and an expansion slot.
