Eston MID-01 slider stolen for no good reason

Eston_mid Shortly after Eston Technology Limited unveiled its new MID-01 at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair, the slider device with the 4.3-inch touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard went missing. The unit "drew a crowd immediately," reported a booth attendant, "and someone seemed to have walked away with it in the confusion."

It's not hard to imagine why someone would want to steal a highly desirable new product, but after digging up the specs of the Eston MID-01, I have to say that there's no reason for anyone to risk getting arrested for this.

The LCD, for example, is only a 16K-color display with a measly resolution of 480 x 272. The CPU? A 624MHz Intel XScale PXA300. The operating system? Windows CE 6.0. Sure, it has 802.11a/b/g WiFi, SD card slot, and a decent software suite, but none of that's worth going to jail for!
