Willcom NS (WS026T) MID built by Toshiba

Willcom_ns Well, what do we have here? It's a brand new Toshiba-built WinCE 5.0 MID that will be released in Japan next week as the Willcom NS.

The "NS" stands for "network stationery" and is a reference to the 0.43-inch thin device's ability to snap into a six-ringed attachment that fits into a personal planner/organizer. The 5.6-ounce device features a 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen, 325MB of internal memory, microSDHC card support up to 16GB, 802.11b/g WiFi, and NetFront browser with Flash Lite 3.1 and JavaScript.

Other highlights include respectable battery life (1530mAh, 4 hours on WiFi, 6 hours using W-SIM), built-in speaker, autopilot updating of up to 10 websites for later viewing offline, and web-based widgets unfortunately called jiglets.

Willcom NS preorders begin on April 17th, with the official release to follow on the 24th. More photos below.
