Larger eviGroup Wallet MID to be powered by Intel Atom

eviGroup's current Android-based Wallet MID may not have been what some of us were hoping for after seeing the first rendered image a month before the official announcement, but the tipster who provided the previous info just contacted me with promising news about the French company's next device.

My source won't be as privy to details about the upcoming unit (so this may be the last sneak peek we get), but he did get to attend a presentation today in which eviGroup's CEO revealed that the next-generation Wallet will be bigger (which we already knew) and will run on an Intel Atom processor, a definite improvement over the ARM11 chip inside the current Wallet. The CPU will probably be just one of several upgraded specs, so there's certainly some potential here.

The new device is expected to be unveiled at the end of October.
