New photos and details of RAmos W7 Android MID

We have a brief update and some new photos of the RAmos W7 Android MID we last covered in October when it was spotted on eBay for outrageous prices. At a recent event in Beijing, RAmos held a presentation and demonstration of its latest products including the W7, allowing people to try the devices out for themselves. Apart from a series of new images including some interesting size comparison shots, it was confirmed that currently the RAmos W7 is running Android 1.5. It's unknown whether RAmos will upgrade the Android installation before shipping or whether it will provide an update for users at a later date.

As for the actual release date, there hasn't been any further confirmation on that either, though it sounds like it will be launched in the new year between January and the Lunar New Year in February.

I've always thought the W7 was a very decent Android MID with a nice design. The latest shots show its nice handy size, being slightly larger than an iPhone yet fractionally slimmer as well. It is also very good value . . . in China at least! Unfortunately, another quick search on eBay confirms the previous madness hasn't stopped.
