Low-end UMID mbook BZ priced, available for preorder

It isn't the higher configuration that many have been waiting for since IDF last fall, but the CES-launched UMID BZ with its predecessor's specs (1.2GHz Atom, 512MB RAM, 16GB SSD, XP Home) is now available for preorder at Dynamism. Originally priced at $549, the lower spec'd clamshell can be had for just $499 when a special BZCESP discount code is used before January 15th. All BZ orders through Dynamism also get a VGA adapter valued at $25 thrown in for free!

When and for how much the high-end BZ with the faster processor, more RAM, and Windows 7 will be available is currently unknown.

The first shipment of low-end UMID BZ devices is expected on January 22nd.
